Role: Program Coordinator, Board Certified Behavior Analyst
Story: Ambrosia grew up in the small town of Dunkirk, Indiana. After graduating high school, she attended University of Indianapolis and received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in Studio Art in 2009. Once graduating college, Ambrosia started a job as a Direct Support Professional in Indianapolis and loved working with the clients. About 1 year and a half after starting that job, Ambrosia decided that she needed to continue her education and found Applied Behavior Analysis. At that time, Ambrosia enrolled in the Applied Behavior Analysis program at Ball State University. She graduated from Ball State University in 2014 and passed the Board Certified Behavior Analyst exam in 2016.
Heart: After gaining experience with adults and the progress that they made utilizing Applied Behavior Analysis techniques, I wanted to continue my education and experience the difference that early intervention made with children. It is very rewarding to see the progress that the kiddos make using ABA techniques. Experiencing a child learn how to communicate appropriately and effectively for the first time or being able dress themselves when they couldn't previously is very gratifying.
