Role: Branch Manager
Story: I graduated in 1996 from Indiana Tech with a Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation. Upon graduating, I directed a year-round camp for children and adults with disabilities in the Columbus Ohio area. After 7 years of “camp life,” I moved back to Fort Wayne, Indiana and started working as a Group Home Manager. I have lived and worked in Indiana and Arizona for Waiver Provider agencies, and in 2005 I received my MBA/Healthcare Management degree from the University of Phoenix. All total, I have worked with people with various disabilities for 21 years, and I have loved every adventure along my way to the Applied Behavior Center for Autism.
Heart: I have always known there was a place for me working with people with disabilities. One of my greatest joys in life is being a sibling to my sister, who was born with Spina Bifida. As a child, I watched my mom advocate for her rights, and as an adult, I joined her advocacy efforts…not just for Jill, but for all people with disabilities. I love those magic moments when the Behavior Techs get to see progress and celebrate the work they have done to help the kiddos they work with.
