Her Role: Assistant Team Leader & RBT
Her Story: Mai Lyn graduated from Indiana University in 2013 with her Bachelor of Social Work and minor in Psychology. She completed an internship working at a transitional living facility with teens experiencing homelessness and then started her career as a care manager and then a care manager trainer. As a care manager, she enjoyed working with older adults and people with disabilities of any age providing them resources and coordinating home care services. Something was still missing though. Mai Lyn missed working one-on-one directly with children. Mai Lyn decided to make the move to ABC in November of 2016 as a pre-level therapist. Mai Lyn loves the mix of continuing to work one-on-one as a therapist but also helping out at the front desk of the center when needed.
Her Heart: Mai Lyn has always loved helping others from a young age whether it was with babysitting or volunteering. Mai Lyn knew that no matter where her career took her, it would always be in a helping field. Mai Lyn is always willing to put others before herself. "It is amazing to see what small or large impact you can make on someone by simply saying hello or smiling. It is a joy each day to see the progress our patients make even if there are challenges along the way."
