Position Description:
- Completes the clinical staff (BCBA, SLP, OT, HSPP) credentialing process and maintains records for the clinical staff
- This encompasses all new appointments and re-appointment processes, including but not limited to biographical information, committee listings, name/address listings, continuing education information, reappointment listings, office listings, attendance, records, minutes, all reports, activities, and correspondence relating to credentialing functions, i.e., communications with licensure boards, insurance carriers, etc
- Assures all elements of background checks are completed with due diligence
- Contacts clinical staff members to relay information or obtain approval on specific issues
- Ensures all elements of the application are completed and signed by the provider and authorized official
- Coordinates and, as applicable, enrolls providers with Managed Care plans, Networks, Third Party Administrators, and any other paying or adjudicating entity requiring the registration or enrollment of our providers as a condition of reimbursement
- Responsible for obtaining CAQH and NPI numbers for providers who do not have these identifying billing numbers and maintaining these profiles while to provider is on staff
- Maintain Master Spreadsheet for payor enrollment
- Complete delegated credentialing items, as needed
- Follows up on patient, family or visitor concerns
- Participate in department meetings, learning opportunities
- Cooperates with others to balance the workload and meet project deadlines of the department
- Other duties as assigned, requested and/or necessary
Qualifications:
- This person must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication
- Most importantly, this person should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, , generating reports, creating presentations and conducting research
- Must possess the ability to use specialized software programs for credentialing, database management and document management
- Education Required: High School diploma required
- Experience Required: 2+ years experience in credentialing and or/network enrollment
- Certifications: Credentialing certification (CPCS) recommended, not required
- Knowledge of insurance credentialing for providers.
- CIGNA, UHC, Anthem and Indiana Medicaid knowledge preferred.
