Location: Castleton, IN
The IT specialist position installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to personal computers hardware and software systems, and provides technical advice and support to system users.
Essential Functions

- Identifies and procures the hardware and software needed to satisfy user requirements
- Setup, update, distribute, and track tablets, laptops and desktops located across all locations of operation (currently 12)
- Activate / Deactivate Employees
- Device Tracking in all Locations
- Purchasing of equipment/software, etc
- Administer e-mail and anti-virus systems
- Coordinates activities with network services and information system groups.
- Provides updates, status and completion information to managers and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication
- Addresses hardware issues
- Provide maintenance on security cameras
- Maintenance of wi-fi network
- Provide maintenance on phone systems
- Generate alarm codes and key FOBS for new staff members
- Rotates daily back-up media
- Assists in research and procurement of computer accessories and supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Competencies
- Proficiency in working with Virtual Machine Ware
- Proficiency in Google Documents
- A + Certification
- Network Certification
Experience
- 3 years of General IT support
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets bend or stand as necessary. This would also require some bending and squatting as needed to install wiring and equipment. Ability to travel/drive to company locations.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Regular days and hours of work are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. However this is a salaried exempt position and on-call availability is required.
