What is Autism?
Autism, or autism spectrum disorder, is a developmental condition that affects how a person communicates, interacts with others, learns, and experiences the world around them. Children with autism may have delays in speech and language, difficulty with social interaction, repetitive behaviors, sensory sensitivities, or trouble adjusting to changes in routine.
Some children may show signs of autism at a very young age, while others may not show clear signs until they are older. If you have concerns about your child’s development, early support can make a meaningful difference.
Who We Help
We provide services for children and families at many different stages of development.
Toddlers and Young Children
Early intervention can help young children build foundational skills related to communication, routines, social interaction, and play.
School-Aged Children
School-aged children may need support with behavior, transitions, classroom participation, emotional regulation, friendships, and independence.
Teens and Young Adults
Older children and teens may work on life skills, hygiene, job readiness, social interaction, and greater independence. Our programs are designed to grow with your child over time.
It All Started
With One...
In 1995, Sherry Michael’s life changed forever when her 2-year-old son Michael was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). At the time, ASD was a rare diagnosis. In fact, Michael was the first child in his school district diagnosed with autism. In the midst of the emotional roller coaster that comes with an autism diagnosis, Sherry began her search for the best possible treatment for her son.
