Our Process

We know how overwhelming it feels to receive an autism diagnosis. Many of our employees – including our founder – have children on the spectrum and live this life every single day. At the Applied Behavior Center for Autism, we’ll stand by your side every step of the way, from the initial diagnosis, through the enrollment process, and as you see real results.

Step 1: Confirm the Diagnosis

Suspect autism? Our team can get your child scheduled for an evaluation with little to no wait time. All testing is done on-site by our trained clinical staff. Often families are given a same-day verbal diagnosis to eliminate the wait for answers. If you already have an autism diagnosis, we can confirm the results.

Step 2: Realize That You Are Not Alone

It will be okay. You are not alone in this. Feeling overwhelmed is a natural phase of this process. Please allow yourself a moment to breathe. What you are feeling right now is normal and we are here to support you.

Step 4: Receive an Initial Evaluation

You and your child will come to our center to complete an initial evaluation with one of our Board Certified Behavior Analysts. During this time, your child’s skills will be assessed and an individualized treatment plan will be written with goals created specifically for your child. You will also meet with our team to provide additional information and your overall goals for your child.

Step 5: See the Results

Your child will begin ABA therapy based on the recommendations of our Behavior Analysts and Clinical Team. A team of Behavior Technicians will work with your child and collect data on a program that is created just for him or her. Your child’s Behavior Analyst will modify their program as necessary to ensure he or she is always making progress, and they will also meet with you regularly to review progress, provide training and support, and discuss ways to continue helping your child progress toward their ultimate goal.
