RESEARCH & INNOVATION
IN AUTISM THERAPY
At Applied Behavior Center for Autism, we are committed to advancing the field of autism therapy through evidence-based practices and continuous research. Our team of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), speech-language pathologists (SLPs), and other professionals actively engage in studying and implementing the latest advancements in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, and occupational therapy to enhance outcomes for individuals with autism.
Ongoing Research & Journal Club
We believe in the power of professional development and scientific inquiry. Our Journal Club is a key part of our research initiatives, allowing BCBAs and other professionals to earn Continuing Education Units (CEUs) while engaging in in-depth discussions on emerging studies in autism treatment.
Some of our recent research discussions have included:
- Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) Outcomes – Reviewing a meta-analysis on the effectiveness of ABA-based interventions for young children with autism.
- Skills-Based Treatment (SBT) and Functional Communication Training – Examining the long- term effectiveness of practical functional assessments and interventions designed to reduce challenging behaviors.
- Kind Extinction Strategies – Exploring ethical and compassionate approaches to behavior reduction.
- Joint Attention and Social Engagement – Investigating approaches to fostering social communication skills in children with ASD.
Bridging Research & Practice
Throughout our many locations, we integrate research findings into real-world applications. Our team stays updated on best practices to refine intervention strategies, ensuring that the individuals we serve receive the most effective and compassionate care. Through collaboration, training, and continued learning, we are dedicated to shaping the future of autism therapy.
